Amanda Dunn, a valued teacher in our district and member of the Teach Plus Arkansas Policy Fellowship, recently had an op-ed published in the Arkansas Advocate. The piece highlights her thoughtful and honest perspective on the importance of addressing the mental health and well-being of educators.
Rachel Rigsby, Program Coordinator says, “We are so fortunate to have Ms. Dunn in our fellowship. Her voice, dedication, and leadership have greatly enriched our work and inspired her fellow educators. It’s clear that the skills and passion she brings to the program reflect the strong foundation of support and mentorship she’s received at the Academies of West Memphis High School”.
“Thank you for sharing such an outstanding educator with us and fostering a culture that empowers teachers to engage in meaningful advocacy. We are grateful for the opportunity to work with Amanda and look forward to continuing to support her efforts to advocate for students and increase achievement across Arkansas,” Rigsby continued.
Ms. Dunn is a theater and oral communications teacher at Academies of West Memphis. WMSD is extremely proud of Ms. Dunn’s accomplishments and what she does to teach our students. Keep up the GREAT work. Read the publication here: http://bit.ly/3BAWSXk
